Lara Treemore-Spears is a project manager with several programs in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Wayne State University: Healthy Urban Waters, the Center for Leadership in Environmental Awareness and Research (CLEAR), and Smart Management of Microplastics Pollution in the Great Lakes. She brings an interdisciplinary background in aquatic and terrestrial ecology, conservation behavior, brownfield redevelopment, and wetland construction to her role coordinating complex research projects. At Wayne State she also coordinated the Flint Area Community Health and Environment Partnership, ErieHack, the Huron-to-Erie Alliance for Research and Training Field Stations, and the Transformative Research in Urban Sustainability Training program.
